For at least two of the IEI General Contractors team, those 30 years have gone rapidly and they’ve experienced every curve and bump in the road.
Jobsite safety is one of the most important components in the successful completion of any construction project. Our solid safety rating enables us to pass along insurance savings to our clients and minimize the overall cost of a project. IEI General Contractors has had no lost time due to injury since 2008, leading to a MOD rate of .76 percent.
IEI adheres to an established safety program adapted from the Associated General Contractors of America, Wisconsin Chapter Safety Policies and Procedures. The policies provide the safest possible workplace for our employees, subcontractors, customers and the public. These policies and guidelines assure compliance with federal, state and local regulations, with an emphasis on Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) standards for the construction industry.
All IEI foremen and superintendents hold certifications in OSHA 30, first aid, CPR, scaffold competency and excavation safety. Our field employees participate in weekly safety toolbox talks, and we rely on third-party safety professionals for onsite inspections, training, consultations and reporting.
