IEI General Contractors completes school remodeling jobs in Wisconsin

School remodeling projects in Wisconsin have become a significant portion of the workload for IEI General Contractors, Inc. as school districts seek to accommodate changing student needs without breaking the bank.

IEI has longstanding relationships with several school districts, bringing sustainable construction practices to a variety of projects ranging from minor school remodeling projects to full-fledged building additions.

Brillion School District school remodeling

IEI has enjoyed a long history of collaboration with the Brillion School District, beginning with a $1.1 million project to create a dedicated facility for its elementary school STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) program. The project involved remodeling a Brillion Elementary School multi-purpose room into a STEM learning lab.

Our ability to use value engineering and stay within their budget has resulted in additional projects over time, including a restroom upgrade.

Denmark School District school remodeling

The major portion of this $14.9 million school remodeling project focused on a fieldhouse addition that includes a 25,000-square-foot gymnasium. It also includes 20,000 square feet dedicated to a fitness room, wrestling and multi-purpose room, public restrooms and an agriculture science room. In addition, the project features a 6,000-square-foot glass atrium lobby and a six-bay maintenance garage.

Green Bay School District school remodeling

IEI has completed several major school remodeling projects for the Green Bay Area Public Schools, most notably at Washington Middle School and Red Smith School.

A $4.5 million, two-part project at Washington Middle School involved a 3,676-square-foot, two-story addition. The first floor includes a new main office and the second floor features additional classrooms. The project also includes a complete HVAC upgrade and finish upgrade of the remaining 314,081 square feet of the building.

The $7 million Red Smith School project features a two-story, 11,872-square-foot addition to our original 157,855-square-foot K-8 building. The addition includes four additional classrooms per floor, plus a sensory room, teacher workroom, restrooms and a mechanical room. The new corridors match the existing school finishes with tile floors and perimeter wall lockers.
